1. Fish/ Seafood

Fish or seafood is one of the foods that you are able to consume during your pregnancy. It is because seafood, especially sea fish, contains a lot of Omega 3. For your information, Omega 3 is not produced by our body so that you have to consume it from supplements or food. Sea fish contains high Omega 3 and it is useful for baby’s brain development. During your pregnancy, you are able to consume seafood two to three times a week. However, you have to be careful because seafood also contains high mercury, especially from big fish. So, it is better for you to choose seafood that is not too big such as salmon, tuna, sardine and mackerel. How about squids, shrimps, crab, clams and others of the like? You can consume them as well.

2. Chicken Eggs

Chicken eggs contain protein, vitamins, fat, minerals, and Omega 3 especially in the egg yolk. You are able to consume it once every two days or three days. However, you have to make sure that you do not consume the half-cooked or even raw ones because they contain bacteria. You are able to fry them, boil them or even cook them in other variations such as omelette.

3. Vegetables

Vegetables, especially green vegetables, are good for your pregnancy because they contain high folic acid. Folic acid can prevent damage to your baby’s spinal cord. Green vegetables also contain iron which is good for the development of brain cells. If you consume food which contains iron and folic acid, it can bolster your baby’s intelligence. Some green vegetables are spinach, broccoli and many more and you can also consume green fruits such as avocado.

4. Nuts

Did you know that nuts contain protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and omega 3? These contents are good for the development of your baby’s brain. Some good nuts that you can consume are walnuts, almonds, peas, and peanuts. You are able to consume them as your daily snacks.

5. Fruits (Berry)

Fruits like banana, papaya, and avocado, especially berries, can also bolster the development of your baby’s brain. It is because these fruits have antioxidants that function to reduce free radicals. If there are too many free radicals in our body especially when we are pregnant, it can inhibit the development of baby’s brain cells.

6. Yoghurt

Yoghurt contains high protein and it also contains Omega 3. You are able to consume it 2 to 4 times a week where it is good for your digestion, intestines, and for your baby’s brain development.

7. Cheese

Do you like cheese? If you like this kind of food, then it is good for you because you are able to consume it more often during your pregnancy. Cheese can give the nutrition needs such as protein, fats, minerals, vitamins and Omega 3. This food is also good for your baby’s brain development. However, you have to choose the cheese that has gone through pasteurization. It is because if the cheese that you consume is not processed properly, it may have bacteria where it is not good for your pregnancy.
